The biggest INC's Lingap sa Mamamayan held in Parola, Tondo, Manila
(MANILA, PHILIPPINES)  IGLESIA NI CRISTO’s (INC) largest international aid for humanity also known as “Lingap sa Mamamayan” bagged global "most" acclamation by the Guinness World Book of Records held in Parola Compound, Tondo, Manila on July 7.
Tarika Vara, the official adjudicator for Guinness World Records together with SGV partner verified and confirmed that all the significant data and information for the three categories were attained:
Tarika Vara, the official adjudicator for Guinness World Records
1) “The most people involved in a dental health check,” 4,128  people for this dental mission and surpassed India’s 3,377.

2) “The most blood pressure readings taken in 8 hours” with 8,026 patients in this medical check-ups exceeded Kuwait Heart  Foundation's 7,203

3) “The most blood glucose level tests in 8 hours” with 5,217 from this event   outdone Novo Nordisk Education Foundation from India of 3,573

Vara was so impressed with the whole organization as she observed how dedicated the volunteers were in helping other people in one whole day even without fee.

She continued that  no other organization in the world was able to break three records in just one event.  Vara in extreme awe announced the "Guinness world record" seal: “I would like to say that I was extremely pleased (and) moved, and I’m just completely humbled by the fact that you gave your services today. The standards were incredibly high. All of you ensured that you were following the Guinness world record guidelines which I was adamant you had to. So, thank you for listening to me. You are now, officially amazing!

Simultaneous check-ups during the INC's "Lingap sa Mamamayan"
The official adjudicator continued that this was an “incredible feat” because the thousands who had gathered to the area, had been given proper attention by the doctors, nurses and paramedics, complete with the necessary medication to address their ailments.

More than 25,000 bags of goods were given to poor families mostly informal settlers living in Parola, Baseco, Isla Puting Bato, Aroma, Vitas, Binondo and other nearby areas.  Around 100,000 came to this happening most of them living in the slums area of Tondo.

The INC executive minister Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo said the INC members were doing this in accordance with the biblical teachings to love and care for others, especially those who have less in life.

“Lingap sa Mamamayan” is an annual INC activity and this coincides with the 98th anniversary on July 27.  This regular and yearly medical initiative is usually implemented in Moslem community in Barangay Culiat, Quezon City.   This movement helps thousands of people during calamity times not only in Metro Manila but also in other parts of the Philippines where most assistance is much needed.

This humanitarian event was the biggest in the history of "Lingap sa Mamamayan" as per Bro. Glicerio B. Santos Jr., INC general auditor.  More than 12 hours of volunteerism, with around 200 doctors, 600 paramedics, and hundreds of nurses and other volunteers, organized and led by Glicerio Santos III offered themselves to make this outreach event a meaningful experience and victorious act.

This is an extra ordinary kind of medical service because the laboratory diagnostics were provided like X-ray, ultrasound, 2D-echo and laboratory services, with 10 hospital beds to check and do minor surgeries. Wheelchairs were also given to needy ones.
