Arellano Achievers to be recognized in the Grand Reunion

The ARELLANO (Manila North) High School will celebrate its 64th AHS alumni annual general reunion on February 6 at Palacio de Maynila, Malate, Manila (across Baywalk and near Rajah Sulayman Park, Roxas Boulevard), 3:00 PM. Dubbed as “Memories in Music and Motion,” the event has a theme “Bridging the past and the present for a brighter future.”


Prominent Arellano alumni includes: Maria Teresita B. Canlas (Most Outstanding Silver Jubilarian), Benedicto (“Bencab”) Cabrera (Most Outstanding Golden Jubilarian), Ceferino “Rino” Basilio (Most Outstanding Diamond Jubilarian) and Ramoncito ”Mon” Abad (Most Distinguished Alumnus and the highest recognition).


Abad was most noted for his appointment as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Ghana.


The TV-5 vice president Rino Basilio, will be feted during the event. Basilio is adjudged as the Most Outstanding Diamond Jubilarian for his contribution in the TV and radio broadcasting industry.


BenCab was most known for his extraordinary and multi-faceted talent and prodigious achievements in the field of visual arts. Canlas, on the other hand, is an exceptional Realty Executive Professional for more than 18 years.

The music and motion of the jubilarians from 1949 to 1984 will be heard and seen, rendered in style by the great bands such as The Electromaniacs, Rhythm & Babes and Ka Ferdie’s band.
