Second JAAP General Assembly Meeting: Scientific Symposium on health and environment

Today, the Second JAAP (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Alumni Association of the Philippines) General Assembly Meeting holds its Scientific Symposium focused on the latest and developments in the field of health and environment.

Invited are their scholars and the members of their alumni, to be held in Henry Sy Hall Multipurpose Room (HSH401), De La Salle University , Taft Avenue, Manila.

The registration starts at 8:00am followed by welcoming remarks by the Vice Chancellor for Research, DLSU Manila Dr. Raymond Tan. This event will be honored by the presence of distinguished guests from Japan and inspirational remarks to be given by Director Hisashi Kato of International Program Department, JSPS Headquarters, together with Director Kiyoshi Takeuchi of Japan Information and Culture Center, Japan Embassy in the Philippines.

The JAAP President Dr. Maricar Prudente will discuss about the JAAP overview. While the keynote lecture will be handled by Prof. Naoki Saito of Meiji Pharmaceutical University, Japan.

Scientific seminar will be conducted by the distinguished Executive Director of Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD) Dr. Jaime Montoya, and other presenters are Dr. Custer Deocaris and Dr. Evelyn Creencia.

There will be question and answer forum after the seminars. The business meeting will be in the afternoon and followed by JAAP reception in the evening.
