The
sec-gen said the amount was tremendous as the summit never set any
monetary target but to empower and connect entrepreneurs especially
youth and women.
He concluded the summit, which ended with a "bang", attracted many US companies and angel investors, expressing their interest to work with Malaysia and fund projects.
He declared, “We are very happy to see such a large turnout. This is indeed a Malaysian success story where we are able to bring together so many different people from all over the world with one focus and with one goal — to empower and connect entrepreneurs. The success of GES 2013 Kuala Lumpur will spinoff other successes such as the 1Malaysia Entrepreneurship (1MeT) initiative which will be the training ground for a whole new breed of local entrepreneurs.”

The GES is a follow-through on President Obama’s statement underscoring the important roles that entrepreneurship can play in expanding opportunity at home and abroad.
The GES has developed into a strategic public-private sector that exceeds borders and industries and creates expertise and experience in businesses, social works, women’s issues, public policies and education.
It traveled from Washington in 2010; and then Istanbul in 2011; Dubai, 2012; Malaysia, 2013; and the next country will be in Morocco, 2014 as announced in the final ceremony.

While in a short interview, an entrepreneurship teacher Anis Amira Ab Rahman from Politeknik Muadzani Shah, Malaysia pronounced that her participation in this event will gain her commercial linkages in government and private agencies including small businesses. She is convinced that this event is an avenue for her to explore the business activities and applications that will unleash the creativity of her students. Her greatest challenge as a teacher is to create students with total package of true entrepreneurs or future employers (and not as mere job seekers and employees).
